For episode 77 we welcome Alex Williams, Senior Program Manager at Technolutions, better recognized as Slate. We chat about the New England states, with the snow on its way. Even though Alex doesn’t work on a campus, he jokes that he’s surrounded by higher education, living a stone’s throw from Yale in New Haven, CT. His passion for enrollment management stems from his involvement in admissions in undergrad, and even though he was working in an unrelated field, he worked to found #EMChat on Twitter – a dedicated chat to breaking down silos in higher education in regards to enrollment management. Alex gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to maintain this weekly chat.

In episode 72 we finally connect with Rebecca Stapley, Assistant Director of Multimedia and PR at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Both Lougan and Rebecca come from an admissions background, and we spend a lot of time chatting about everything they’ve learned from the two departments. With the semester in full swing for everyone, we talk abut how to handle all our projects, but take time for ourselves. The weather is changing, as Jackie and Rebecca start to feel the fall while it still feels like summer over in Lougan’s neck of the woods. We also share our strategies on hiring and utilizing our student workers and volunteers as best we can.

Episode 61 is with Lenny Williams, Assistant to the Dean of Enrollment Management at the School of Business at New Jersey City University. Aside from his day job, he is an adjunct professor at NJCU, Hudson Community College, and Brookdale Community College. Lenny sounds like a busy guy, but his work doesn’t stop there. We talk at length with him about Trill or not Trill, an organization he co-founded which centers around pop cultural as educational lessons. Episode 59 congratulates Missy Vetrano, current graduate student at the University of Buffalo who successfully unlocked her next achievement; getting a job in higher education. Although we can’t yet disclose exactly where she’ll be working, Missy talks about her path to higher ed beginning with her undergraduate studies, and her final semester feelings. Missy is moving for her first job, and she tells us the secret to negotiation at estate sales. if you haven’t already guessed, she’s Jackie’s sister, and reveals something pretty embarrassing about Jackie’s past.
