steve ostendorff & the temporary spartan race route

Steve Ostendorff is the director of graduate admissions at Bank Street Graduate School of Education in Manhattan. We talk about commuting to work, and what Steve does to pass the time on his two-hour train ride. Part of his daily routine includes taking a nap, but more importantly doing his homework – because he’s also a part-time doctoral student. Steve tells Lougan and Jackie about his department’s efforts to roll out an online course.

REBROADCAST: hope cooper buckner & the monograms

Jackie and Lougan will be back on March 21, but in the mean time enjoy this episode with Hope Cooper Buckner!

This week we talk to Hope Cooper Buckner, the assistant director of communications at Belmont University.  Aside from dealing with Lougan on a regular basis, Hope is an integral part of Belmont’s Office of Communications that produces content and works with internal and external stakeholders to help manage the institutional brand. In May, Hope graduated with an M.Ed. in  nonprofit leadership and as her thesis studied the value of collegiate level mentorship experiences for women. That research inspired her to launch a new nonprofit called MentorHER which will provide psychosocial mentoring opportunities for women on college campuses.
