darren stocker & the kick that was needed
Darren Stocker is an associate professor and program director at Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts where he works with students who want to get into the field of criminal justice. After retiring from 20 years in law enforcement, Darren got into higher education. While in graduate school, it became clear to him that education was his next career move. Darren has done extensive work with learning management systems, and he talks with Lougan and Jackie about the pros and cons of discussion boards in an online classroom.

Chrissy Montelli is a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts- Amherst earning a Masters of Fine Arts in writing specializing in poetry. By day, she is a graduate assistant for Student Activities as programming counselor for events on campus. Currently, she is working on her thesis, a series of poems that examines mental illness and how it influences relationships. Chrissy decided to pursue her MFA in creative writing after realizing she didn’t want to teach high school English. She loves how sees the growth in the students she advises.
