This week we talked with Jon Blankenship, the director of digital media strategy for Vanderbilt University Development & Alumni Relations. Jon worked with Lougan at Belmont for more than 8 years before his move across Wedgewood Avenue to Vanderbilt. We talk about Jon’s previous position at Belmont where he was tasked with transitioning the oversight of website content over to university marketing. We also chat about his new position at Vanderbilt working on web, email and social media strategy.

It was great having the insightful Kristen Lemaster on the show this week! She works at Vanderbilt University as the program coordinator in the Office of Inclusion Initiatives and Cultural Competence. Kristen works to facilitate trainings on diversity across the campus and works to advise and support the Vanderbilt Association of Hispanic Students and the Vanderbilt Undergraduate Chinese Association. On the show, we talk about the important work she does and the importance of personal relationships and partnerships across the institution.

Episode 25 features Lacy Paschal, Director of Web Communications at Vanderbilt University, even though it takes some time to formally introduce her. In this episode, Jackie’s soul dies a little because she has nothing, at least when it comes to children (both which Lougan and Lacy have adorable ones). We talk about college sports, specifically in Nashville, and Jackie continues to learn about sports teams in the south. Lacy reveals that she is adjusting to a big switch in her department, growing from 3 to 14 members, due to a reorganization on campus. We also chat about personalized customer service, and what the best method for teaching software is.
