This week we talked with Jon Blankenship, the director of digital media strategy for Vanderbilt University Development & Alumni Relations. Jon worked with Lougan at Belmont for more than 8 years before his move across Wedgewood Avenue to Vanderbilt. We talk about Jon’s previous position at Belmont where he was tasked with transitioning the oversight of website content over to university marketing. We also chat about his new position at Vanderbilt working on web, email and social media strategy.

Since he started at BYU 6 years ago, he has begun to develop a strong and creative social media strategy. Jacqueline Rowe is the senior enrollment communications coordinator for undergraduate admissions at Stony Brook University, where she focuses on event management and website coordination plus social media for the university. We learn all about “Jackie Idea Bombs” and talk about carbs. Lots of carbs. Lougan goes hard on science again, and we answer the question, “is butter a carb?”
